Creating a safe working environment
We do all we can to keep our workplaces safe and healthy. And it's an area in which we aim to improve continuously and measurably, year-on-year. Employees and employers have to work together and take responsibility for a safe and healthy workplace. We make this happen by putting employees' well-being at the heart of our culture.

Communication
Manorlane is continually reviewing its systems to find new and better ways to communicate with employees and listen to their views. A key aspect of this was the launch of the intranet in 2005 in order to help enhance communication across the company. The intranet is accessible to all employees and is regularly updated.

At Manorlane we operate an ‘open-door’ policy in order to ensure staff are comfortable in sharing their opinions, ideas and concerns in a constructive way.

In addition to weekly in-house management meetings, we also host an annual management seminar in order to share learnings and maintain our focus on the overall company objectives and core value.

Training and development
New employees receive induction training, which covers information on the company structure, history, as well as on specific issues such as health and safety and sustainability.

We are also committed to the continuous professional development of our people and endeavor to identify training requirements and provide and provide study packages to allow staff to expand their knowledge and improve performance.
